Styles & Wood, a leading provider of property services to premier UK retailers, announces that Philip Lanigan has been appointed to the Board as Group Finance Director. Graham Clark, is to stand down from his position as Group Finance Director as part of a planned retirement following the successful conclusion of the refinancing of the Group. 

Philip Nicholas Lanigan (45) joins Styles & Wood as Group Finance Director with effect from 1st August 2009. Philip joins the Company from Ashtead Technology Limited, a private equity owned international specialist equipment rental business, where he was Group Finance Director from November 2008 until July 2009.

Philip is a Chartered Accountant, having trained at and spent nine years with Price Waterhouse, before leaving in 1994 to join NIS Limited as Finance Director. From 1999 to 2005, Philip was Group Finance Director of NNC Holdings Limited, a private equity backed engineering consultancy and project management services group. From 2005 he joined NES Group, a specialist technical recruitment company, as finance director. In March 2007 he joined Cardpoint plc, as group finance director, where he was involved in the merger with Alphyra to create Payzone plc, which he left on completion of the merger. In May 2008 he joined EIC Limited, an electrical contracting business, as interim finance director before moving on to Ashtead Technology Limited.

Graham Clark has been Finance Director of Styles & Wood since 1988. To ensure an orderly handover, he has agreed to remain with the Company until the Company has released its interim results for the six months to 30 June 2009, which is expected to occur towards the end of August.

There are no further details that are required to be disclosed in respect of Mr Lanigan's appointment under LR 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
