Board Change - Appointment of Non-executive Director

Star Energy is pleased to announce that Aneliya Erdly has accepted an invitation to join the Board as an Independent Non-executive Director with immediate effect. Aneliya will be a member of the Remuneration Committee.

Aneliya is a highly experienced energy executive with over 18 years in power projects execution and asset management. She brings a wealth of expertise in building from scratch and running renewable energy generation businesses, as well as in assisting businesses with their energy transition strategies.

Aneliya has held senior management positions with international, independent energy producers operating globally and specifically in Central, Eastern and Western Europe, and the EU.  Her sector expertise includes origination and business development, structuring the investment theses for renewable energy platforms, energy transition work, M&A and project financing and portfolio management. Over her professional career she has acquired, developed, constructed, and managed sizeable solar, wind, hydro, landfill gas, storage, and biomass project portfolios. She has originated and developed over 10GW of renewable projects worldwide.

As a project developer she has worked extensively with multi-lateral funding agencies, local commercial and international banks focused on clean energy project finance. 

Aneliya is currently a Strategic Advisor to NTR PLC, a successful fund manager that has invested in and built close to 3GW of renewables assets across Europe and the US. She also sits on the investment committee of Globeleq - a power industry leader with a focus on emerging markets.

Prior to this Aneliya was a CEO of Silver Ridge Power, a multi-billion renewables portfolio company of Riverstone and The AES Corporation. In additional she has held executive, non-executive and advisory positions with The AES Corporation, Trafigura, Eco Atlantic Oil and Gas, the International Finance Corporation and KPMG.

Star Energy is well advanced in further expanding its Board to capitalise on the energy transition opportunities in geothermal. A further Non-executive Director appointment is expected shortly.
