SciSys PLC11 April 2008 Scisys plc ("Scisys" or the "Company") Statement regarding share price movement The Board of Scisys notes the recent announcement by Microgen plc and today'spress commentary and confirms that it has held an informal meeting with Microgenplc regarding a possible offer for the Company. There can be no certainty thatthese discussions will lead to an offer being made for the Company. In accordance with Rule 2.10 of the Takeover Code (the "Code"), Scisys confirmsthat it has 28,480,275 ordinary shares of 25 pence each in issue as at the closeof business on 10 April 2007. This requirement will continue until the date onwhich the offer becomes, or is declared, unconditional as to acceptances, lapsesor is otherwise withdrawn or on which the "offer period" otherwise ends. If twoor more persons act together pursuant to an agreement or understanding, whetherformal or informal, to acquire an "interest" in "relevant securities" of theofferee company, they will be deemed to be a single person for the purpose ofRule 8.3. Under the provisions of Rule 8.1 of the Code, all "dealings" in "relevantsecurities" of the offeree company by the offeror or the offeree company, or byany of their respective "associates", must be disclosed by no later than 12.00noon (London time) on the London business day following the date of the relevanttransaction. A disclosure table, giving details of the companies in whose "relevantsecurities" "dealings" should be disclosed, and the number of such securities inissue, can be found on the Takeover Panel's website atwww.thetakeoverpanel.org.uk. "Interests in securities" arise, in summary, when a person has long economicexposure, whether conditional or absolute, to changes in the price ofsecurities. In particular, a person will be treated as having an "interest" byvirtue of the ownership or control of securities, or by virtue of any option inrespect of, or derivative referenced to, securities.
