Update - VAT repayment claim - Permission to appeal refused

Following the announcement on 1 May 2013 that Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs ("HMRC") had informed Sportech that they intended to seek permission to appeal to the Upper Tribunal against the decision of the First-tier Tax Tribunal ("FTT"), Sportech are pleased to announce that permission has been refused by the FTT.

HMRC have the option of applying to the Upper Tribunal for permission to appeal against the decision of the FTT and have until 1 July 2013 to make such an application.

The Group will update shareholders as soon as more information is available.
