Appointment to the Board

Sportech PLC, one of the world's leading operators and suppliers of pools and tote gaming, announces the appointment of Mr David McKeith as an Independent Non-executive Director with immediate effect. David will also become the Chairman of the Group's Audit Committee.

David brings with him a wealth of business experience and strong, professional financial skills. He is a chartered accountant having retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in 2008 where he had been the North West Senior Partner from 2001 to 2008. David is also a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee at NCC Group plc, Chairman of the Board of the Halle Orchestra and Chairman of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. There are no other details that require to be disclosed in respect of the appointment of Mr McKeith pursuant to Rule 9.6.13 of the UK Listing Rules.
