Board Appointments

Secure Property Development & Investment PLC, the AIM-quoted South Eastern European focused property and investment company, is pleased to announce the appointments of Mr Michael Beys and Mr Colin Chapin to the Board as a Non-Executive Directors.

Michael Beys is the Founder and Managing Partner of Beys, Stein & Mobargha LLP, a New York law firm covering a full range of corporate and real estate transactions. From 2000 to 2005, he served as a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York where he was the lead counsel in over 100 federal prosecutions and investigations. In 2005, he co-founded Aristone Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm which has provided over US$35 million in mezzanine financing to New York area real estate developers. In 1999, he founded Cobblestone Ventures, Inc., a real-estate development business which has since invested in, or actively managed, over 200,000 square feet of conversion and new construction projects in downtown Manhattan.

Since 2006, Colin Chapin has advised on and acted as the shareholder representative in numerous private equity investments principally focused on real estate in central and eastern Europe. Prior to that Colin acted as the CFO and Secretary for a TSX listed public real estate holding company called Trizec Canada Inc., which entity was created (along with Trizec Properties, the second largest US publicly traded office REIT) from the reorganization of TrizecHahn Corp where he was Senior Vice President of Taxation. Before joining Trizec in 1997, Colin was a Tax Partner at PwC (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) where he specialized in international, M&A and insolvency related tax matters.

Lambros Anagnostopoulos, Chief Executive Officer of SPDI, said: "I am delighted to welcome two such high calibre individuals to our Board.  These appointments will be instrumental in SPDI's future as we look to grow our income producing portfolio of prime commercial and industrial real estate in high-yielding emerging European countries such as Romania and Greece.

On the behalf of the Board I would also like to take this opportunity to express our sincere condolences following the passing away of Peter Munk who has been a longstanding significant shareholder of SPDI through his beneficial ownership of PM Capital. Our thoughts are with his family at this time."

Michael Petros Beys (aged 46)

Mr Beys is directly interested in approximately 0.20% of the Company's issued share capital. In addition, Mr Beys is a director, but not a shareholder, of P.M. Tsifitis Maritime Ltd. and Narrowpeak Consultants Ltd. which are interested in approximately 2.0% and 9.7% of the Company's issued share capital, respectively.

Colin Jay Chapin (aged 59)

Mr Chapin holds no current interest over the Company's ordinary shares.
