Results of Share Repurchase Program

Pursuant to the board's authorization of the second stage of its share repurchase program on January 28, 2016, Samsung Electronics recently completed the repurchase of its shares. Detailed results of the second stage of the repurchase program are set forth below:

1. Repurchase Period: January 29, 2016 to April 14, 2016

2. Repurchased Common Shares:

- Number of Shares: 2.1 million

- Average Price Per Share: KRW 1,227,373

- Total Amount: KRW 2,577 billion

3. Repurchased Preferred Shares:

- Number of Shares: 0.53 million

- Average Price Per Share: KRW 1,028,790

- Total Amount: KRW 545 billion
