Charitable Contribution
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. (KS005930, KS005935, SMSN, SMSD) ("SEC") on November 30, 2018 announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the following contributions.
Contribution for the 2019 Annual Fundraising Campaign by Community Chest of Korea
- SEC will contribute KRW 25.2 billion to the Community Chest of Korea to help the underprivileged as a part of our corporate social
responsibility.
Provision of performance incentives to secondary suppliers of the Device Solution division
- SEC will contribute a maximum of KRW 4.32 billion across 89 secondary suppliers of the DS Division (scheduled to be provided at the end of January 2019) as incentives to prevent worksite accidents, improve productivity, and support the domestic economy by strengthening co-growth. The specific amount will be calculated after supplier evaluations at the end of December. The maximum amount may increase by up to KRW 3 billion if eligibility criteria are expanded and more suppliers meet the criteria.
