Director / PDMR Shareholding
Smart Metering Systems plc (AIM: SMS.L) confirms that it has today been informed of the following dealings in the ordinary shares in the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), all of which took place on 8 July 2016.
Glen Murray, Chief Financial Officer of SMS, exercised options held under the Company's Unapproved Share Option Scheme to acquire new 500,000 Ordinary Shares (the "New Ordinary Shares") at a price of 60 pence per Ordinary Share and subsequently sold 500,000 Ordinary Shares at 405 pence per Ordinary Share. Following these transactions Mr Murray has no interest in any Ordinary Shares.
The New Ordinary Shares have been admitted to trading on AIM under the block listing facility announced on 27 May 2015.
In addition, Rhys Wynn, Chief Operating Officer of SMS, sold 500,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 405 pence per Ordinary Share. Following this disposal Mr Wynn is now interested in a total of 417,508 Ordinary Shares, representing 0.47 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company.
Following the issue of the New Ordinary Shares, the Company has 89,201,326 Ordinary Shares in issue. SMS does not currently hold any shares in treasury. Accordingly, this figure of 89,201,326 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
