DIRECTORATE CHANGES
The Board of Standard Life European Private Equity Trust PLC is pleased to announce that Christina McComb has been appointed as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, with effect from the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting earlier today.
Christina McComb's background is in fund management and she has wide experience of investing in early stage companies. She is currently Chief Executive Officer of C5 Capital Ltd, an independent investment company, focusing on the global security sector. She is also currently deputy chairman of Engage Mutual Assurance, a non-executive director of Baronsmead VCT 2 plc and Nexeon Ltd, a trustee of the Land Restoration Trust and is a Governor of Surbiton High School. Christina had prior wide executive experience in both the public and private sector, to include 14 years service with 3i Group PLC.
In accordance with the requirements of Listing Rule LR 9.6.13, the Company confirms that Christina was formerly a Director of Morgan Everett Ltd, which was wound up through a voluntary creditors liquidation on 22 February 2010.
No additional details need to be disclosed in respect of paragraphs 9.6.13(1) to (6) of the UK Listing Authority's Listing Rules.
In addition to this change, and as previously announced, the Chairman of the Company, Scott Dobbie, has retired from the Board following the conclusion of the Company's Annual General Meeting held today and has been succeeded as Chairman by Edmond Warner. Edmond joined the Board as a non-executive Director on 27 November 2008 and is currently Chairman of UK Athletics, investment bank Panmure Gordon & Co, and online derivatives exchange LMAX. He is also a non-executive Director of Clarkson PLC, Grant Thornton UK LLP and the Eastern European Trust PLC.
