Operations and Production Update

Sylvania Platinum, the low cost Platinum Group Metal ("PGM") processor and developer, today announces that the strike at the host mines affecting the operations at the Western Operations is over and workers have returned to their normal duties.

During the period of the strike, the operations at the Eastern Operations continued. With the commencement of production from the Western Operations, the company expects production volumes to quickly return to normal.

Commenting, Nigel Trevarthen said "We are pleased that the strike action at neighbouring mines is over and that all Sylvania employees are now able to gain access to the Company's Western operations and return to work. Furthermore, despite some intense picketing, no harm to employees or damage to equipment was reported, thus allowing us to continue our production ramp up following the commissioning of the Mooinooi plant."
