SIG plc: Continued strong trading

SIG plc ("the Group" or "the Company") today issues a trading update ahead of the close of its financial year ending 31 December 2021 and confirms its year-end reporting dates.

Trading update and outlook

Further to the Q3 update provided on 22 October 2021, the Board is pleased to report that the Group has continued to trade well in Q4, and ahead of expectations. This has increased visibility and confidence in the full year underlying1 operating profit outturn, which is now expected to be ahead of prior expectations and no less than £40m.

Full year reporting dates

The Company will issue a full year trading update for the financial year ending 31 December 2021 on 11 January 2022, and will publish its full year results on 11 March 2022.

1. Underlying represents the results before Other items. Other items relate to the amortisation of acquired intangibles, impairment charges, profits and losses on agreed sale or closure of non-core businesses and associated impairment charges, net operating profits and losses attributable to businesses identified as non-core, net restructuring costs, and other non-underlying profits or losses.
