Shanta Gold Limited28 December 2006 Shanta Gold Limited ("Shanta" or the "Company") Change in significant shareholdings Shanta was advised on 22 December 2006 that shareholders Export Holdings Limited("Export") and Sable Gold (Mauritius) Limited ("Sable") had disposed of ordinaryshares of 0.01p each in the share capital of Shanta Gold ("Ordinary Shares"). On 13 December 2006, Export sold 4,193,182 Ordinary Shares and Sable sold4,193,182 Ordinary Shares (a total of 8,386,364 Ordinary Shares) to certainCanadian funds at a price of 50p per share. Pursuant to this transaction,Dynamic Power Hedge Fund acquired 5,916,200 Ordinary Shares, which represents6.12% of the issued share capital of the Company. On 21 December 2006 Export sold a further 1,000,000 Ordinary Shares and Sablesold 1,000,000 Ordinary Shares (a total of 2,000,000 Ordinary Shares) at a priceof 50p per share to Jonah Capital. Export also transferred 5,500,000 of thewarrants issued at the time of the placing ("Placing Warrants") at 20p perwarrant to Jonah Capital. Sable transferred 5,500,000 Placing Warrants to JonahCapital.
