Circular re. electronic communications with shareholders

Sterling Energy Plc ("Sterling" or the "Company"), the AIM listed oil and gas exploration company (AIM: SEY), has today posted a letter to shareholders regarding electronic communications, the details of which are summarised below.

In future, Annual Reports, Notice of Meetings or other similar communications, will be published on the Company's website at www.sterlingenergyplc.com. By making documents available electronically it allows shareholders to access documents on the day of publication as well as reducing the Company's production, printing and postage costs and lessening the Company's environmental impact through reduced printing and mailing activities.

The letter has been sent to comply with the provisions of the Companies Act 2006, which requires that shareholders are individually asked to consent to this method of publication of documents and information.
