Sterling Energy PLC18 October 2007 Sterling Energy plc ("the Company") Additional Listing Application has today been made for 1,000,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in theCompany ("Ordinary Shares") to be admitted to trading on the AIM market of theLondon Stock Exchange ("AIM"). The new Ordinary Shares are being issued pursuant to the exercise of options bya departing employee. These shares rank pari passu with the Company's existingOrdinary Shares and dealings are expected to commence on 24 October 2007 on AIM.
