AGM Statement and Directorate Change

Stadium Group Plc (AIM: SDM), a leading electronic technologies group, will hold its Annual General Meeting today at 11.00am at Nplus1 Singer Advisory LLP's offices at 1 Bartholomew Lane, London EC2N 2AX. At the meeting Stadium will provide shareholders with the following announcement and trading update.

Appointment of new CEO

Stephen Phipson, CBE, has been appointed to a senior Civil Service post at the Home Office, working to promote the interests of the UK security industry. As a consequence Stephen has advised the Board of his intention to step down as CEO of Stadium with effect from 31 May 2013. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Stephen for his contribution to the business and for developing a clear growth strategy over the last two years.

We are pleased to announce that Charlie Peppiatt, currently Group Operations Director, will succeed Stephen as CEO with effect from 1 June 2013. Prior to joining Stadium, Charlie was Vice President, Global Operations for Laird Technologies and has worked in Europe, USA and Asia within the electronics industry. Charlie worked closely with Stephen to develop Stadium's growth strategy and under his leadership Stadium will continue with the plans currently in place. This involves continuing the transition to a design and manufacturing business with technology leadership in its areas of specialisation - displays and power supplies, whilst developing and enhancing the service offering to existing electronic customers in the iEMS market.

Current trading

Against the background of a continuing difficult economic environment, IGT, the interface and displays business, is performing well and continuing to deliver on the acquisition case. The power supplies business is performing in line with expectations, whereas iEMS remains challenging as previously highlighted. However, we are experiencing an increased level of enquiries for iEMS work, which may lead to an upturn in volumes in due course. The project to rationalise manufacturing capacity in the UK is continuing on track and is expected to show benefits in the second half of 2013. Overall, whilst we expect that the first half trading will be at a lower level than the equivalent period in 2012, we anticipate a stronger second half as the integrated sales approach and reduced cost base yields results. Consequently, the board remains confident about the overall group performance for 2013.
