Surface Transforms PLC05 April 2005 To be embargoed until 7.00am on 5 April, 2005 Surface Transforms plc ("Surface Transforms" or "the Company") Issue of Share Options On 13 January, 2005 the Company announced the appointment of Mr Kevin Johnson asOperations Director and Mr Antoni Sznerch as Business Development Director. At the time of their appointment they were entitled to receive options tosubscribe for ordinary shares. Consequently, on 4 April, 2005, the Company granted Mr Johnson and Mr Sznerchoptions over 50,000 and 35,000 ordinary shares, respectively. The options have been granted under the Company's Enterprise ManagementIncentive ("EMI") Scheme at an exercise price of 50 pence per share,representing a premium of 29.9 per cent. over the closing middle market price on4 April, 2005, and are exercisable at any time between 5 April, 2008 and 5April, 2015.
