ABBEY AND ALLIANCE & LEICESTER MANAGEMENT CHANGES |
AbbeyΒ National plc ("Abbey") andΒ Alliance & LeicesterΒ plcΒ ("A&L")Β haveΒ announced thatΒ David Bennett,Β Executive Director, will be leaving the Company.
David currently hasΒ ExecutiveΒ responsibilityΒ forΒ the IntermediariesΒ businessΒ and fulfilled the role of Integration Advisor followingΒ Santander's acquisition of A&L in October 2008.Β Β He willΒ remain withΒ the businessΒ untilΒ 31Β JulyΒ 2009Β in order to ensure a smooth handoverΒ of responsibility for Intermediaries which will beΒ assumedΒ by another member of Abbey's Executive Management Team.
AntΓ³nio Horta-OsΓ³rio, Chief Executive, said: "I would like to thankΒ DavidΒ for hisΒ helpΒ inΒ the significant progress we've made inΒ integratingΒ A&L into theΒ SantanderΒ Group.Β Β We wish him well for the future."
