Operations update

3Legs Resources plc, an independent oil and gas group focusing on the exploration and development of unconventional oil and gas resources in Poland, announces the following operations update.

Highlights:

Lublewo LEP-1ST1H lateral well

· Drilling of this well commenced on 2 April 2014 and has now been completed.

· A lateral section of 1,512 metres has been successfully placed within our primary target zone, the Sasino shale, for its entire length; strong gas shows were seen throughout the section.

· The targeted Sasino zone proved relatively consistent, throughout the lateral section, in terms of lithology, lack offaulting and low angle of dip, as had been expected.

· The use of a synthetic non-aqueous mud system mitigated any negative impact of the drilling mud on thesurrounding formation, and helped to achieve a clean well-bore throughout the length of the lateral section.

· The well has been cased and cemented, ready for a multi-stage fracture stimulation and flow test in the thirdquarter, and the rig released.

· The stimulation programme for the well is currently being finalised and is expected to comprise 20 or more stagesusing a cross-linked gel fluid.

Operations update

Drilling, casing and cementing of Lublewo LEP-1ST1H lateral well

Further to our operations update on 18 March, drilling of the Lublewo LEP-1ST1H lateral well, the third and final well in our 2013/14 drilling programme, commenced on 2 April 2014. The well has now been successfully drilled, cased and cemented, ready for a multi-stage stimulation and test in the third quarter. This is the third lateral well, and seventh well overall, which Lane Energy Poland, our joint venture with ConocoPhillips, has drilled on our western Baltic Basin concessions since 2010.

The lateral well was drilled to a total offset of 1,750 metres from the vertical kick-off point, resulting in a lateral section measuring 1,512 metres which will be available for multi-stage stimulation and testing; strong gas shows were seen throughout the section. The total measured depth of the vertical pilot hole and Lublewo LEP-1ST1H sidetrack together is 4,477 metres.

The lateral section was successfully placed within our primary target zone, the Sasino shale, for its entire length. In this, we were considerably assisted by the new 2D seismic data acquired earlier this year, as well as by the excellent quality of the core and log data recovered from the Lublewo LEP-1 vertical well, drilled in January 2014. The combination of all of this data enabled us clearly to identify our target horizon at this location and to plan and execute the well path in our desired azimuth (direction).

The lateral section was drilled using a geo-steerable bottom-hole assembly including LWD (logging while drilling) and MWD (measurement while drilling) capability. Very little real-time geo-steering was required, as the targeted Sasino zone proved relatively consistent, throughout the lateral section, in terms of lithology, lack of faulting and low angle of dip, as had been expected. The use of a synthetic non-aqueous mud system, recycled from the first two vertical wells in the 2013/2014 drilling programme, also mitigated any negative impact of the drilling mud on the surrounding formation, and helped to achieve a clean well-bore throughout the length of the lateral section. Using this mud system we were able to drill the entire section with a single PDC (polycrystalline diamond compact) bit, achieving average rates of penetration of over 15 metres per hour.

The lateral section has now been cased using 5 1/2" production casing and cemented ready for a multi-stage stimulation and test planned for the third quarter. The rig was released on 28 April and is now in the process of being rigged down.

The stimulation programme for the lateral well is currently being finalised and is expected to comprise 20 or more stages. Analysis and testing of the most recently acquired cores from the Lublewo LEP-1 vertical well, including fluid sensitivity testing and fracture conductivity testing, confirms our conclusion from earlier well completions that a cross-linked gel represents the optimum frac fluid at this stage for our completion, since this will enable the amount of water used per stage to be reduced while maximising the ability to deliver proppant into the formation.

Kamlesh Parmar, Chief Executive of 3Legs Resources, said:

"We have successfully concluded the first phase of activity on the third and most critical well in our 2013/14 work programme and are one step closer to demonstrating the commercial potential of the Sasino formation, our primary shale target. We successfully landed the lateral section of over 1,500 metres within the Sasino horizon as planned, and we are now positioned to execute a multi-stage stimulation of the well. The well stimulation is expected to be 20 stages or more, following which the well will be put on test in the third quarter of the year."
