Shareholder Requisition
On 4 June 2019, the Directors of Rurelec PLC (AIM: RUR) received a requisition letter from the Company's shareholder "'YF Finance Limited"', through its nominee, which holds 17.20% of the Company's issue share capital. The letter gave due notice to the Company of YF Finance Limited's intention to propose a resolution for the appointment of Mr. Gordon Edward Fisher as a Director of the Company at its forthcoming Annual General Meeting, to be held on Thursday 27 June 2019 at 11.00 a.m. The proposed appointment will be subject to Nomad approval and regulatory due diligence.
The Directors note that this resolution is not a recommendation of the board of Directors.
Biographical details of Mr. Fisher:
Gordon Edward Fisher was born in Scotland. He was educated at Paisley Grammar School. From 1982 to 2011 Mr Fisher was the owner and Managing Director of a successful freight forwarding and customs brokerage that operated from and within one of the UK's largest seaports and had 26 employees when the business was acquired by a competitor in 2011. Since the sale of his business Mr Fisher has acted as a business consultant to various companies regarding customs and tariff issues (not including Rurelec PLC).
Mr Fisher, through its nominee, holds 2.32% of the shares in the Company.
