Board Changes

Rurelec PLC (AIM: RUR), the owner, operator and developer of power generation capacity internationally announces today that Mr Larry Coben, a Non-Executive Director of the Company, has resigned from the Board of Directors effective 11th July 2014. He has agreed to take up the Non-Executive Chairmanship of Cascade Hydro Power SAC, Rurelec's Peruvian run of river hydroelectric power generation company, which is looking to expand its operations in Peru following successful PPA awards from the government of Peru.

As a result of this change to the Rurelec Board the Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committees will now comprise:

· Audit Committee - Brian Rowbotham (Chairman) and Colin Emson

· Remuneration Committee - Brian Rowbotham (Chairman) and Colin Emson

· Nomination Committee - Colin Emson (Chairman) and Brian Rowbotham

Commenting on the resignation, Peter Earl, Chief Executive Officer said:

"Larry has had to step off the Rurelec Board as a result of his other business commitments. We would like to thank him for his support over a difficult period in the Company's history but we look forward to continuing to work with him in Peru as we expand our portfolio of hydroelectric developments in the country."
