Reliance Security Group PLC04 March 2005 4 March 2005 For immediate release Reliance Security Group plc ("Reliance") Preferred Bidder: Kent Police Authority PFI The Directors of Reliance are pleased to announce that Reliance Secure TaskManagement Limited ("RSTM"), a wholly-owned operating company, has beenselected, in partnership with HBOS plc and Kier Project Investment Ltd, as thePreferred Bidder for a 30 year Private Finance Initiative ("PFI") contract forthe Kent Police Authority. The project involves the financing, design and construction of a DivisionalHeadquarters at Gravesend in North Kent. Subject to contract award, which isexpected in October 2005, construction work would start in January 2006. RSTMwould provide a comprehensive range of support services, starting in July 2007,including contract management, estate maintenance, utilities and energymanagement, the operation of a public service counter, catering and hospitality,cleaning and waste management, a logistics service, a property management andtape/disc service and conference booking and preparation. It is estimated thatthe support services contract will generate turnover for RSTM of £1.3 million ina full year.
