Director Appointment

The Board of Randall and Quilter (AIM: RQIH), the specialist non-life insurance investor, is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Booth as Executive Director alongside Ken Randall (Chairman and Chief Executive) and Alan Quilter (current Chief Financial Officer) with immediate effect.

Tom has been with Randall and Quilter since October 2009 in the role of Corporate Finance Director, having previously been a corporate adviser and investment banker, specialising on the non-life insurance industry.

It is the intention of the Board to appoint Tom as Chief Financial Officer of the Group in the Company's forthcoming 2011 Annual General Meeting. Alan Quilter will then assume the new Executive position of Chief Operating Officer.

On his appointment, Tom Booth commented:

"I am delighted to join the Board at such an exciting time in the Group's evolution. The achievements in the past year have been considerable, notably in launching a new turnkey syndicate and in expanding our service offering into the 'live' insurance market. I look forward to working with the rest of the Board and senior management in continuing to grow the Group's operations in all four business areas: Investments, Insurance Services, Underwriting Management and Captives."

Tom, aged 35, is or has been a director of the following companies during the previous five years:
