David Mackertich - Exploration and New Ventures ManagerDavid Mackertich is an explorationist and qualified geologist with over 17 yearsof industry experience. Following 3 years as a seismic interpreter with theBritish Geological Survey, David spent 13 years with Amerada Hess where hispositions included New Ventures, Exploration and Regional manager roles (S.EAsia and Middle East) and Staff Geologist roles (UK and Denmark). David hasplayed a leading role in the discovery of a number of commercial oil fields inthe UK, Denmark and Malaysia. David has spent the last year and a half workingas Vice President of Exploration and New Ventures for Sonoran Energy, a USlisted oil company. In this role he was responsible for securing Sonoran's itsfirst international operated asset in Jordan. Rhod Phillips - Senior Petroleum EngineerRhod Phillips has 11 years experience in both exploration and development roleswith Amerada Hess. Rhod has extensive experience in both offshore and onshoreprojects around the world. He spent the first 5 years of his career in the NorthSea (UK and Denmark) designing and supervising well logging, testing andcompletions operations in exploration and development wells. On returning toLondon, Rhod worked as a Reservoir Engineer starting with the UK operationsbefore moving on to international operations in Azerbaijan and Malaysia. Hismost recent experience was as the lead Reservoir Engineer for the GEArehabilitation and miscible flood project in Algeria. Lucy Slater - Senior GeophysicistLucy Slater is an exploration geophysicist with 10 years experience in bothexploration and development. Lucy started her oil industry career in explorationwith Amerada Hess working in the North Sea (UK and Norway). During this time shewas involved in several commercial hydrocarbon discoveries. Lucy moved to Shellin 2001 where she worked on integrated reservoir modelling specialist worldwideprojects, including the development of an integrated reservoir modellingsoftware package. In early 2004, Lucy joined FX Energy where she worked ondeveloping its exploration portfolio in Poland. During her time with FX Energyshe was involved in a number of exploration discoveries.
