- Notification of Major Interest in Shares

event changing breakdown of voting rights

Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad

On 30 December 2011, The Rank Group Plc ("Rank") received notification from Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad ("Hong Leong Co.") that, on 29 December 2011, Asia Fountain Investment Company Limited ("AFI") transferred its entire holding of 114,235,699 ordinary 138/9p shares in Rank to All Global Investments Limited ("AGIL"). Both AFI and AGIL are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Guoco Group Limited.

Following this transfer:

- AFI no longer holds any shares in Rank; and

- the notifiable interest of Hong Leong Co. in the voting rights attached to ordinary 138/9p shares in Rank remains unchanged (291,046,540 shares representing 74.51% of the total voting rights).

Notes

All Global Investments Limited is a controlled undertaking of Guoco Group Limited ("GGL"). GGL is a controlled undertaking of GuoLine Overseas Limited which is a controlled undertaking of GuoLine Capital Assets Limited ("GCAL"). GCAL is a controlled undertaking of Hong Leong Company (Malaysia) Berhad.
