Directorate change

The Rank Group Plc ("Rank") announces the appointment of Alex Thursby as a non-executive director with effect from 1 August 2017. He will also chair Rank's audit committee with effect from the conclusion of the annual general meeting on 19 October 2017 and serve on its audit, remuneration and nominations committees with effect from 1 August 2017.

Owen O'Donnell, currently chair of the audit committee, has notified the board of his intention not to seek re-election at the 2017 annual general meeting and will therefore step down later this year having completed nine years on the board.

Biography of Alex Thursby

Alex Thursby, 57, has had a 30-year career in banking, most recently as chief executive of National Bank of Abu Dhabi (2013-2016) and prior to that he held senior roles at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (2007 to 2013) and at Standard Chartered Bank (1987-2007). From January 2008 to April 2013 he was a non-independent non-executive director of the Bursa Malaysia listed AMMB Holdings Berhad, part of the AmBank Group, one of the largest banking groups in Malaysia.

Rank confirms that there is no information to be disclosed under the requirements of Listing Rule 9.6.13R in relation to this appointment.
