Caldwell Investments PLC27 July 2007 VIRIDAS PLC (formerly CALDWELL INVESTMENTS P.L.C.) Successful Placing of 3,600,000 shares to raise £450,000 Viridas plc announces that it has successfully completed a placing of 3,600,000Ordinary Shares of 10p each ("Shares") at a placing price of 12.5 pence perShare, which compares with a middle market price of 11.75 pence per Share at theclose of business on 26 July 2007. The new Shares are expected to be admitted totrading on AIM on 30 July 2007. In order to demonstrate their support for the Company the Directors have takenup an aggregate of 550,000 Shares, (representing 2.8 % of the existing issuedshare capital of the Company). Stanley Wootliff, Chairman and Managing Director,who previously held 4,458,263 Ordinary Shares (22.4% of the existing sharecapital) has taken up 400,000, and following the Placing he holds 4,858,263Shares (20.7% of the enlarged issued share capital). Mr K M Robinson has takenup 120,000 Shares and now holds 188,571 Shares (0.8%). Mr F Lunardini has takenup 30,000 shares (0.1%). The Placing has raised £450,000 before expenses which will provide additionalworking capital for the Company and in particular enable the Company to financethe further development of the Group's activities in Brazil.
