Regency Mines PLC25 April 2008 REGENCY MINES PLC Exploration UpdateDated: 25 April 2008 Regency Mines plc ("Regency" the "Company") the mining exploration and mineralinvestment company with interests in copper and nickel in Western Australia,Queensland, and Papua New Guinea, announces recent developments at its Mambarelateritic nickel-cobalt project in Oro Province, Papua New Guinea. Regency has entered into a 10,000 metre rotary drilling contract, extendable to20,000 metres, with JCP Geo-Ex Services, Inc ("JCP"). The programme willcommence as soon as possible, and seven rigs will be operating. The duration ofthe initial 10,000 metre programme is estimated at 120 days. JCP is an ISO 90001:2000 certified company with extensive experience of drillingsimilar prospects, including recent contracts in the Philippines at DinagatIsland, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental in Mindanao, at Isabela in NorthernLuzon, and in Palawan Island. As part of the Company's due diligence, arepresentative visited their operations in Palawan. The purpose of the programme is to combine the results of drilling the entirelaterite profile in the south-west of the license area with the data fromground-penetrating radar to develop a JORC resource in this part of the license,at the same time as testing the depth and characteristics of the lateriteprofile in other parts of the plateau to establish potential scale and grade ofthe resources within the entire license area.
