RDF Group PLC("RDF" or "the Company")Director Appointment

The Board of RDF is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Weir as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 August 2008.

Robert John Stuart Weir (age 59) qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) in 1976. Robert held a number of financial roles and was responsible for the establishment of Welbeck Finance, the consumer finance arm of Debenhams plc, and Household Mortgage Corporation which was later sold to Abbey National Plc in 1995, after which he decided to pursue private interests. He is currently vice-chairman of Family Investments, non-executive chairman of Funding for Homes Limited, Honorary Treasurer of Westminster Mencap and Governor of Brighton College. Other directorships reflect personal investment in private companies. He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Robert Weir was a director of Karma Limited, a company set up to obtain planning permission to develop properties in Winchester and Brighton for late night entertainment and dining. The company was liquidated by order of the court on 10 July 2007 with one outstanding creditor, HM Revenue and Customs, owing approximately ‚£1,000. No further action was taken by the Official Receiver against the directors or the shareholders.
