An attack of shingles can be extremely painful, with around a quarter ofsufferers going on to develop post herpetic neuralgia, an often debilitatingillness which can last for months or even years. In the UK, about 250,000 peoplesuffer from shingles each year, almost half of these being over 60 years old. Affiniti won this 3-way pitch with a strong strategic approach, which furtherextends their vaccine product portfolio.
