First Artist Corporation plc (AIM: FAN), the media, entertainment/sport and events group, is pleased to announce that Julianne Coutts, the Group Company Secretary & Head of Human Resources, has been appointed as a Director of the Company with immediate effect.

Julianne joined First Artist in September 2006. Prior to this she was Company Secretary of Anite plc, and was formerly the Assistant Secretary of Unilever plc, a role she held for 10 years. Julianne is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Commenting on the appointment, Bob Baldock, Chairman, said:

Julianne Cheryl Jane Coutts (formerly Hampton-Coutts), aged 50, is a Director of Optimal Wealth Management Limited (First Artist's FSA regulated and authorised chartered financial planning subsidiary), Trainingbites Limited and Wallrad Limited. She is beneficially interested in 1,600 ordinary shares of 2.5 pence each, representing approximately 0.01% of the Company's issued share capital, and is also interested in options over 10,000 shares at an exercise price of 98.5 pence per share.
