Centurion Interest Disposal

Bluebird Energy plc ("Bluebird Energy" or "the Company") announces that it has closed the approved disposal of the Company's working interest in the Centurion project as per the terms of the disposal agreement contained in the general meeting circular dated 16 September 2011.

The Company confirms that it has received gross proceeds of US$3.1m for the Centurion interest disposal.

As at 7 October 2011 in addition to its remaining assets held in the US, the combined value of the Company's cash balance and 11.28 per cent. investment in Wessex Exploration PLC was approximately $9.6m, of which $4.5m is represented by cash.
