Pinewood Shepperton plc31 July 2006 Pinewood Shepperton plc - Fire at Pinewood Studios Pinewood Shepperton plc ("the Company") confirms it has suffered a serious fireon the 007 stage at its Pinewood Studios location. There were no casualtiesinvolved. The cause of the fire is not yet confirmed. The Company has well established procedures to deal with incidents of thisnature in conjunction with the Fire Services. These proved effective. There was no filming on the 007 stage when the fire broke out. The productionhad completed shooting and was in the process of removing its film sets. Although the full extent of the damage has yet to be established, the Boardbelieves the 007 stage will need to be demolished and rebuilt. There has been nosignificant collateral damage to any other assets at the Pinewood site. Apartfrom the 007 stage, the rest of Pinewood Studios will be fully operational bythe end of today. Pinewood Shepperton has insurance policies in place to cover the Company againstdamage or loss to its assets resulting from fires. Any resulting loss ofearnings are also subject to insurance cover. The Board has not been able toassess the full effects of this incident. However, its preliminary view is thatthis is unlikely to have any material impact on the financial performance of theCompany for the full year.
