£1.4m contract win

Parity Group PLC ("Parity"), the UK IT services group, is pleased to announce that its Solutions business has won a contract with NHS Direct to develop and support a new Health Information Search Portal. The contract, valued at £1.4m, and is due for completion in March 2011.

Parity Solutions, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, will develop this innovative new system to assist NHS Direct call centre staff in dealing with requests for information and enquiries from the general public. The new portal's most advanced feature is an improved search function which retrieves information from a variety of disparate databases and websites and also is the first project of this scale to utilise Microsoft SharePoint 2010. Using this innovative technology the new system will allow NHS Direct call centre staff to handle calls from the public far more efficiently, pulling in accurate information in a much more timely manner.
