Upgrade of Set Top Box Product
PeerTV plc (AIM:PTV), a provider of technology solutions for the OTT (TV over the internet) market, and PCB (printed circuit board) production solutions announces that its PeerTV business has added DVB-T2 connectivity to the features of its standard set top box.
DVB-T2 is the world's most advanced digital terrestrial television (DTT) system, offering more robustness, flexibility and at least 50% more efficiency than any other DTT system. It supports SD, HD, UHD, mobile TV and any combination thereof.
PeerTV products with DVB-T2 connectivity are currently being tested by a number of potential customers interested in enabling their users to enjoy both OTT and terrestrial TV services, using just one unified box.
In addition to the DVB-T2 add on, the PeerTV set top box can stream video and audio content from IPTV channels, OTT video distribution, VOD stores, external USB hard drives and content stored on a home network.
