Order from New Customer
PeerTV plc (AIM:PTV), a provider of technology solutions for the OTT (TV over the internet) market and PCB (printed circuit board) production solutions, announces that its subsidiary PeerTV Limited has received a first order from a new customer.
The current order has a sales value of $47,000 and includes charges for hardware, software, integration and maintenance. It is for Quad Core Android Set Top Boxes (STB) to be deployed as part of a field trial. The units are expected to be delivered during the next three months.
The customer is a privately held East European based company current offering a range of telecommunications services to a user base of about 50,000 subscribers. Its basket of services has included ethnic OTT market during the past two years, utilizing STB from a number of vendors. The OTT services are offered as part of a multi-service platform and as a way of increasing and monetizing the user base more effectively.
The receipt of the order followed three months' discussions and negotiations, during which the PeerTV set top box was tested and evaluated.
