Increasing Customer Interest following deployment of New Digitek Assembly Line.
PeerTV plc (AIM:PTV), a provider of technology solutions for the OTT (TV over the internet) market, and PCB (printed circuit board) production solutions announces that Digitek SMT Assemblies Ltd ("Digitek") is experiencing an increase in customer enquiries following the deployment of its new assembly line which is giving access to customers requiring high accuracy SMT and mass production, a major part of which were previously beyond its technical capabilities.
Of particular importance is the new testing equipment including Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and XRAY machines which enable Digitek to identify and eliminate failures, exceeding the capabilities of the pre-existing assembly lines.
Raising awareness of this capability is resulting in increased approaches from manufacturers in the military and medical sectors. There are also opportunities to generate additional revenues by selling operating time on an hourly basis on these items of equipment to manufacturers wishing to investigate failures and concealed components from their own production, which can only be seen using professional X-Ray capabilities.
Following the introduction of the new line, one of the largest manufacturers of military equipment in Israel carried out an audit of Digitek operations and confirmed Digitek as an approved supplier in April 2015.
The new line provides rapid placement speed and enables Digitek to process small components that could not be supported by the pre-existing equipment. Consequently, in the upcoming months Digitek expects to start mass production with customers from the Smart Home, Vehicle Security and Home Security sectors. In addition, Digitek has received Requests for Quotations (RFQs) with potential sales value of 5 million New Israel Shekels (£0.84m) and is confident that these will result in significant orders during 2015.
