Directors' Shareholdings

Persimmon plc (the "Company") announces that on 11 March 2010 the Company was informed that on the same day John White, Chairman, Mike Farley, Chief Executive and Mike Killoran, Finance Director exercised the following options over shares awarded to them under the Company's Bonus Share Scheme and Synergy Incentive Plan.

The numbers of shares in respect of the Synergy Incentive Plan include an award for Dividend Shares, in accordance with the rules of the Plan.

The Company was further informed on 12 March 2010 that on that same day, Mrs Rosalind White, wife of John White sold 200,000 shares in the Company, Mike Farley sold 96,291 shares and Mike Killoran sold 120,000 shares. All sales were at an average price of 447.0371p. As a result of these transactions, Mr White and his wife's interest in the Company's shares increased to 2,208,160 shares or 0.7% of the issued share capital of the Company, Mr Farley and his wife's interest increased to 1,147,753 shares or 0.4% of the issued share capital and Mr Killoran and his wife's interest increased to 472,814 shares or 0.16% of the issued share capital. All percentages exclude Treasury Shares.

Mr White, Mr Farley and Mr Killoran have informed the Company that these shares were sold to settle tax liabilities.

The issued share capital of the Company on 12 March 2010 was 301,133,957 ordinary shares, excluding Treasury Shares.
