Appointment of Mr Dmitry Chekashkin -

Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer

Further to the appointment of Mr Dmitry Chekashkin as an Executive Director and as Chief Operating Officer of Petropavlovsk PLC (the "Company") with effect from 13 May 2013, as detailed in the Company's Business Plan announcement released on 13 May 2013, the Company confirms that there are no further details to be disclosed in relation to Mr Chekashkin in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.13.

As at 13 May 2013, the date of Mr Chekashkin's appointment, and as at today's date, Mr Chekashkin has an interest in 17,708 Petropavlovsk PLC ordinary shares, representing 0.01% of the Company's issued share capital.
