Board Changes

China Africa announces that due to personal commitments, Mr Shao Yi has resigned as non-executive Chairman of the Company with immediate effect. Mr Xu Jianrong, currently a non-executive director of the Company, has taken up the role of Chairman.

The Company advises that Mr Xie Xingnan has been appointed to the board of directors as a non-executive director with immediate effect, following the resignation of Mr Shao, as a representative of East China Mineral Exploration and Development Bureau.

Mr Xie, aged 47, was trained in geological exploration and also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He has worked for more than ten years in the exploration business and is currently Deputy Director General of East China Mineral Exploration and Development Bureau (ECE) and a director of East China Non-Ferrous Metals Investment Holding Co. Ltd, East China Non-Ferrous Metal Construction GroupsandHong Kong East China Non-Ferrous International Mineral Development Co. Ltd. During the past five years, Mr Xie also held a directorship of Hong Kong ECE Weatherly Investment Co Ltd.

Commenting on the changes to the board of directors, Rod Webster, Chief Executive Officer said: "We wish to thank Mr Shao for his contribution during his time on the Board of China Africa. We also know that Mr. Shao will continue his support for CAR in his capacity as chairman of ECE, the major shareholder of CAR. We are delighted to welcome Mr Xie to the Board who brings with him a wealth of invaluable experience"

Mr Xie does not have any interest in the shares of the Company.

There are no other matters which fall to be disclosed with regard to this appointment under Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules.
