PCI Pal appoints new CEO
PCI-PAL PLC (AIM: PCIP), the customer engagement specialist that secures and protects payment card data for companies handling payments by phone, announces that William Catchpole was unanimously required by his fellow Board members to resign as a Director of the Company with immediate effect yesterday.
The Company is delighted to announce the appointment of James Barham as its new CEO. James, who is currently Chief Operating Officer - North America has been a Director of the Company since 2016.
Commenting on the appointment, Chris Fielding, Chairman of PCI Pal, said:
"Our business has changed much since the disposal of IPPlus and CallScripter in 2016, with its entire focus now on the payment card data protection services of PCI Pal. Our AWS platform is starting to show real promise globally justifying the significant investments we have made over the last few years.
"James has been instrumental in its evolution to where it is today. We are therefore very excited in the new business now being led by James with continuing support of CFO William Good, and CTO Geoff Forsyth."
James Barham, Chief Executive Officer of PCI Pal, added:
"It is an honour for me to lead this business that I have been a part of since the very beginning in 2011.
"When we launched the new PCI Pal in October 2016 with the aim of becoming the preferred global provider of secure card payment cloud services to contact centres, we set out with three main goals; first to develop a fully virtualised, globally accessible cloud environment on AWS; second, to successfully enter the North American market; and third, to adopt a partner-centric sales and marketing strategy.
