Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Palace Capital, the AIM-quoted commercial real estate company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kim Taylor-Smith to the Board of the Company as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Kim Taylor-Smith, a Chartered Accountant, brings to Palace Capital over thirty years' experience as a company director for a range of businesses, with a particular background in property management, investment and development. Mr Taylor-Smith served as finance director and latterly chief executive of Birkby plc, a manager of workspace (IMEX) and indoor markets (Inshops), between 1983 and 1999, at which time it was acquired by Mentmore plc, at that time Europe's leading records management and self storage company. Following the acquisition of Birkby by Mentmore, Mr Taylor-Smith was appointed as the chief executive of the enlarged group, where he remained until 2001. Since 2001, Mr Taylor-Smith has, amongst other things, undertaken property investment projects, established a serviced business centre operation (which was sold in 2006) and taken on various business advisory contracts and interim management appointments.
