Settlement of Arbitration

LONDON: 16 May 2008 - Oxus Gold plc ("Oxus" or the "Company") (OXS.L) announces that, further to its announcement of 6 May 2008, the Company has now received the agreed cash settlement and accordingly the claim in arbitration against the Kyrgyz Republic under the UK - Kyrgyz Republic Bilateral Investment Treaty has been withdrawn.
