Ormonde Mining PLC14 November 2005 14 November 2005 Ormonde Mining plc Ormonde Updates on La Zarza Testwork Programme DUBLIN & LONDON: 14 November 2005 - Ormonde Mining plc ("Ormonde" or "theCompany") reports on the progress of its metallurgical testwork programme onsamples from the La Zarza Gold-Copper Project in southern Spain. • Initial results from testwork on the Copper Composite are very positive, indicating that high recoveries in excess of 80 per cent copper can be achieved, and further optimization steps are in progress. • Testwork on the Gold Composite is well underway, and the Company will provide a further report on results from both samples within the next three weeks. The testwork programme, being carried out by Wardell Armstrong International inCornwall, U.K., is investigating the most appropriate method to recover theeconomic minerals from the gold and copper resources at La Zarza. Two compositesamples, the "Gold Composite" and the "Copper Composite", are being tested. Kerr Anderson, Managing Director, said today, "We are pleased at the high rate of recovery in these initial tests on theCopper Composite. As we also expect to recover copper from the Gold Composite,we wanted to determine optimum parameters from initial tests on the CopperComposite before commencing work on the Gold Composite, rather than test bothcomposites at the same time. With these parameters now established, work iswell underway on the Gold Composite and although the programme is taking longerto complete due to this modification, we look forward to reporting furtherresults within the next three weeks." In the meantime, Phase 2 drilling on the project continues and should becompleted by the end of the year. This drilling is focused on the upper part ofthe deposit where historical underground development to extract pyrite extendsinto the gold-copper body.
