Ormonde Mining PLC12 October 2005 12 October 2005 Ormonde Mining plc Paul Mihalop Joins Ormonde Board DUBLIN & LONDON: 12 October 2005 - Ormonde Mining plc ("Ormonde" or "the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Paul Mihalop as a non-executivedirector with immediate effect. Dr Mihalop, a metallurgist by profession, has a track record of successfulmining project and company development. In the late 1970s he was responsible forthe design, construction and commissioning of the highly successful Narbalekuranium mine in Northern Australia. In the early 80s, as Managing Director ofSouth Crofty in Cornwall, he advanced that business to the point where it waspurchased by Charter Consolidated and RTZ. In 1984 he founded Anglo EuropeanMinerals, which in 1990 was acquired by AngloVaal and floated as Anglo PacificResources. As Chief Executive Officer of Navan Resources plc from 1991-96, heoversaw its growth from a junior explorer to a mining company with operationsin Spain, Bulgaria and Hungary. He is presently a director of London listedGreenwich Resources. Ormonde Chairman, Mike Donoghue commented, "We are extremely pleased to welcome Paul to the Board.
