OTMT Extends its Management Contract of Alfa in Lebanon for three Months
Cairo, 30 December, 2013: Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding ("OTMT") announces that it received today 30th of December 2013 an extension to the management contract of the Lebanese mobile telecommunications operator "Alfa" with the Republic of Lebanon for a period of three additional months commencing on January 1st, 2014 and ending on March 31st 2014.
The terms of the three months extension remain the same as per the current contract signed between OTMT and the Ministry of Telecommunications in Lebanon.
Being awarded this further extension and despite its short duration, OTMT remains committed to playing a positive role in the development of the mobile sector in Lebanon. OTMT and in cooperation with the Ministry of Telecommunications will pursue Alfa's growth policy it has followed since 2009, which is a strategic sector for the economic progress in Lebanon.
