Garner Plc (the "Company") Trading Update and Board Changes
At the time of the announcement of interim results for the 6 month period ended 30 June 2006, the Board announced the Group had recorded profits before tax of ‚£200,000 (2005:loss of ‚£36,000).
The Board is pleased to report further progress has been made in the second half of the year, in line with the Board's expectations.
During the year, the Company secured a number of new mandates and blue chip client relationships, the number of fee earning consultants was increased to 9 and the in-house team of researchers was strengthened.
The results for the year ended 31 December 2006 are expected to be announced on 30 March 2007.
The Board is also pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Anne O'Brien (aged: 41) to the Board as an executive director with immediate effect. Sue has been a member of the senior management team since 2003 and was appointed MD of the Garner Search Practice in 2005. Since joining she has supported Andrew Garner in building and shaping the business helping to provide a solid foundation for future growth. As well as nine years expertise in Senior Level Executive Search, Sue's previous experience in both HR and Marketing have contributed to the development of the team and the building of long term relationships with both candidates and clients. Prior to executive search Sue was Marketing Director and Managing Director for a privately owned leisure company called The Kingswood Group.
At the same time Roger Hingley has agreed to step down from the Board. Roger has served as a board member for a number of years and we would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his services to the Company.
There are no other disclosures required to be made pursuant to the AIM Rules - Schedule Two Annex III paragraph g (ii) - (viii).
