Global Energy Development PLC14 September 2006 For Immediate Release 14 September 2006 GLOBAL ENERGY DEVELOPMENT PLC SHARE OPTION GRANT Global Energy Development PLC ("Global" or the "Company") announces that on 13September 2006 under the Company's Share Option Scheme an aggregate of 325,000options to subscribe for ordinary shares of 1 pence in the Company were grantedto two senior management employees of the Company all at an exercise price of174.5 pence per share option, this being equal to the average closing mid-marketprice per ordinary share for the five business days preceding the grant date. All the share options vest over a period of three years, with one third vestingon each anniversary of the grant. Once vested the share options may beexercised through to the tenth anniversary of the grant date unless the granteeceases being an employee of the Company in which instance the options expire twocalendar years after the date the individual ceases to be an employee of theCompany.
