Max Petroleum PLC01 August 2006 Max Petroleum PLC ("the Company") Exercise of Options The Company announces that options have been exercised over 550,000 new OrdinaryShares of 0.01p each. Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange forthese shares to be admitted to trading on AIM, which is expected to take placeon 4 August 2006.
