Appointment of Non-Executive Director

The Board of Murray Income Trust PLC (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Merryn Somerset Webb as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 7 August 2019.

Merryn Somerset Webb is the Editor-in-Chief of UK personal finance magazine Money Week and comments regularly on financial matters across radio and television. She is a director of several charities as well as a non-executive director of two other investment trusts.

Neil Rogan, Chairman, commented on the appointment:

"I would like to welcome Merryn to the Board. She brings a wealth of investment trust experience as well as a particular knowledge of, and interest in, developing the links between investment trusts and their current and potential retail investor base."

Merryn Somerset Webb is a director of Baillie Gifford Shin Nippon PLC and Montanaro European Smaller Companies Trust plc.

Merryn Somerset Webb currently does not have an interest in any shares in the Company and there is no other information required to be disclosed in relation to this appointment, pursuant to the Financial Conduct Authority's Listing Rule 9.6.13R (1) - (6).
